From Monday-Saturday we offer a wide range of 'lighter bites' for lunch, alongside our full menu and Specials Board. For the evenings there's our full menu and Specials Board.
Our Specials Board does change regularly - we don't just say it does! Dishes might range from Griddled Bacon Steaks to Roast Chicken Breast Stuffed with Crab Meat and served on a Pea and Spinach Risotto. It also always includes at least one vegetarian option - we like to offer more than just a nut cutlet.
We also have two regular treats: Tuesdays have freshly made and steamed Steak and Kidney Suet Puddings on the menu, while Wednesdays see fresh cod delivered so that's fish 'n' chip day.

On Sundays it's all change, and rather than offer our light lunch or evening menu we do our famous Sunday Lunches.
There are always three different roasts on offer: Sirloin of English Beef, Leg of Pork sourced from Windmill Farm In Watlington and our famous Slow Roasted shoulders of Lamb - which are an enormous portion and absolutely gorgeous.
We also always have six additional Specials to chose from, including a vegetarian dish of the day. It's a lovely way to have a proper Sunday lunch, without all the hard work of cooking it yourself. (Sorry, this is the one day we don't offer snacks or sandwiches.)
There are two Sunday sittings - from 12/12.30 and from 2/2.30, so even if you've had a lazy (or hectic!) Sunday morning, you can still enjoy lunch with us. Advance booking is always best (01491 628400) but if you're coming up on the spur of the moment, just call ahead to make sure we've room for you.
Our well-kept beers are by Brakspears, good quality ales that always include what many people think is one of the tastiest lower-strength (3.4%) bitters available in the country. We also have regularly changing guest ales so there should always be something to please the beer fan.
