Our Team

The Chefs

Karl and Geoff. Karl has been working at the Maltsters since our beginning in November 1998. We were all so young when we started! His skills have been an integral part of our success. Recently joined by Geoff (formerly of the Stag and Huntsman in Hambleden), who's a South African but long-standing UK resident, we feel our menus have gone from strength to strength this year.

Front Of House

Jen (the Landlord's sister in law): who says never employ family! Very much an integral part of our team.

Amanda and Abba: Mother and daughter who live in the village of Greys, so they're always close to hand!

Pat, Richard and Simon: three brothers that have worked for us since their Gillots school days right up to now, while they're at University or in-between Masters Studies.

Dougal: studying Art and Photography at Uni; he took the photo which is on all our placemats.

The Davis Brothers: from nearby Peppard, they assist in the kitchen and front-of-house at times too. Both are keen rugby players and are incredibly talented golfers - they must be, they beat the landlord!

Back of House

And last but by no means least, Matt and Ben: our wash-up team are just as important as the landlord, although the Landlord makes an exception of Ben after he beat him at golf at the age of 16.
