The Team
Peter & Helen Bland. Landlord and Landlady.

We bought the business in November 1998, after managing a Four Star
Hotel in Maidenhead for eleven years. Previously, we were at Phyllis Court
Club in Henley, so we are very much local people. Nearly six years on, the
business has grown immensely. We have refurbished both Dining Rooms, built up
a great regular clientele, and returned it back as a Village Pub, used by the
village. |
Karl Askin. Head Chef

Karl
joined us from day one, and helped us move the business forward. Educated in
South Africa, and trained at the George Hotel at Dorchester on Thames, then
moved on to the Leander Club, in Henley. |
Paul Smith. 2nd Chef
 |
Paul completed his training at Henley Catering College in 1995. Paul is
our man who gets his hands into anything. Ask our clientele about his
cheesecakes, Raspberry and Framboise, Chocolat and Baileys, to name just a few! |
